Proverbs 4:24 Decline Distortion
– If we want to guard the heart, put away wicked speech (Watch what you say to others).
Proverbs 4:25 – Anchor Your Attention
– Focus on what is in front of you instead of fumbling over what is behind you.
Proverbs 4:26-27 – Steer Your Steps
– Stomp your steps and know where you are going. Make sure that you are paying attention to your feet (steps). Don’t swerve. Stay on the path that God has outlined for you. Stay in your own lane. Don’t navigate another person’s course. You have your own race to run.
If we want to protect the heart, we have to make sure that our mouth, eyes and feet (steps) are in check!
